Charles Mackay was a Scottish poet, journalist, author, anthologist, novelist, and songwriter, remembered mainly for his book Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.

This book contains snippets from some of the greatest literary English writers and their works such as Sommerville’s The Red and White Rose, Bannockburn- Robert Bruce’s address to his army, Collins-The Death of the Brave and many more.
