This beautiful, tender, and imaginative film script by Dylan Thomas was only recently discovered at the time of the publication of this book. "Here is the egg of a seabird- lovely, perfect, and laid this very morning". So wrote E. M. Forster when the book Twenty Years A-Growing by the Irish writer Maurice O'Sullivan was first published in English in 1933 (it had been originally written in Irish). It is upon this well-known autobiography that Dylan Thomas based his unfinished film script.
