The development of the postal services in the UK has attracted a number of writers, but none had dealt with the operation of postal traffic at a provincial level. this book is a detailed study of the methods by which the Post Office ran services outside London. Attention has been focused on the posts serving Kent and East Sussex which include the main post roads to Dover and to Hastings and rye.
