Notes to the Hurrying Man by Brian Patten is a collection of poetry first published in 1969. These are early poems from Patten, written roughly between the winter of 1966 and the summer of 1968, a period when he was emerging as one of the significant "Liverpool Poets" alongside Adrian Henri and Roger McGough.

The poems in this collection often explore themes of love, relationships, loneliness, and the everyday experiences of urban life, frequently with a wry, tender, and sometimes melancholic tone. They capture a sense of fleeting moments and observations, hinting at a world where connections can be fragile and life moves at a hurried pace.
