The pupil teacher relationship is a vivid experience known to us all. Our teachers were the first giant personalities we had to reckon with outside the family circle. Often begun in awe, the relationships seldom closed without leaving an affectionate or at least picturesque memory. We in our turn, In our first timidity, or unexpected defiance made our smaller but memorable impact on those seemingly remote masters and mistresses into whose care our parents so confidently flung us.
