This book has been compiled from interviews with diaries of over 80 people, men and women, civilians and members of the three services, POWS, Nurses, the Land Army and Home Guard, Refugees and Evacuees. These experiences from two small villages cover all the major and many of the minor theatres of World War Two. The result is not only alive with immediacy of personal reminiscence, but it's also a valuable contribution to the social history of a generation of Suffolk people.
