Tales from Shakespeare is an English children's book written by the siblings Charles and Mary Lamb intended "for the use of young persons" while retaining as much Shakespearean language as possible. Mary Lamb was responsible for retelling the comedies and Charles the tragedies. With an introduction and additions by F. J. Furnivall and illustrated by Harold Copping.

    Condition: Blue covers with gilt lettering and design which are in a good condition with minor bumping to the spine. The pages are clean with no ink or pencil marks. Fully illustrated with lovely black and white plates throughout the two volumes. Both volumes have a picture plate of Shakespeare to the front, one of him young and the other older. Volume one has an Army and Navy booksellers plate to the front and Volume 2 has some figures in light pencil to inside front cover
