In lovely condition for its age, the famous discourse on freshwater fishing by the 17th century writer and biographer Izaak Walton (1593-1683), with illustrations by Lynton Lamb. Part 1 is sub-titled 'Being a Discourse of Rivers, Fishponds, Fish, and Fishing', first published 1653 and added to at intervals; Part 2 in this edition was a shorter section (67pp) being the contribution of Walton's friend Charles Cotton in 1675-76 and is sub-titled 'Being Directions how to Angle for Trout or Grayling in a Clear Stream'.
