The Lives of the most eminent English Poets with Critical Observations on their Works by Samuel Johnson.
These books are dated 1781 and are full leather bindings.  First Editions Thus published London for C Bathurst, J Buckland etc etc
Volumes two and three are complete with heavy rubbing and some cracking to the spine. Volumes one and four the covers are loose so will need rebinding. Some marks to pages throughout the book where they have been studied.
Due to the issue with this set of books, they are being sold as is and for rebinding only
