Tiw, Woden, Thunor, and Frig, the ancient gods and goddesses of the North, bestowed their names upon the days of our week. However, the majority of us are more familiar with Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and the classical deities. Recent archaeological and mythological research has supplemented our existing understanding, which was mainly derived from a twelfth-century Icelandic account, to form a cohesive depiction of the primary Scandinavian gods and goddesses. This fresh investigation, presented in English for the first time in many years, is the product of a scholar with extensive expertise in Norse and Germanic mythology.


Covers are in a very good condition with just a slight turning of the top corner. Pages are clean with no ink or pencil marks and are browning with age. The book is in a very good condition for its 58 years.
