Established in the reign of Queen Victoria, West Norfolk, Fertilisers, or the Muck Works as it was known locally, became one of the leading industrial concerns in Kings Lynn. Now that the firm no longer exists, it is important that it is not allowed to quietly fade away without trace. It is hoped that this book may be of interest to local historians and geneologists, as well as former employees and their families. In the main, it is their story. Although much information has been gathered from records, documents and newspaper reports, it is the memories of people, particularly those who worked there, who breathed life into the story.
